Just as bad weather tore through the northern region the previous evening, the home side swept United away at the Etihad. It was a statement three-nil triumph for the City coach's side owing to goals from Rebecca Knaak, Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a result that clearly signaled their leadership claims as they reinforced their position at the league summit.

Consecutive Setbacks for United
